NGO «Symbol» is an independent non-governmental organization working with contemporary art, mental health and human rights. Our artistic fields include curating, conceptual art, photography, film and playback theatre.

The organization was founded by three graduates of the programme «Visual Arts and Management of Cultural Projects» at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. We follow the principles «youth for youth» and «nothing about us without us», so it matters to us that art is not elitist but dialogic, able to respond to the experience of communities. That is why we combine artistic practices with human-rights education and psychoeducation.
